Refund Policy

At Performance 3D, we take pride in the quality of our 3D-printed parts. Due to the custom and made-to-order nature of many of our products, our refund policy is outlined below.

Change of Mind

Due to the nature of 3D printing and made-to-order production:

  • Change-of-mind refunds are not offered

  • This includes incorrect selection, no longer needing the item, or ordering the wrong product

Please review product descriptions, specifications, and compatibility carefully before placing an order.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Custom or made-to-order items:

  • Are printed specifically to your specifications

  • Cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has started

  • May include slight cosmetic variations inherent to the 3D printing process

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all custom details provided are accurate.

Faulty, Defective, or Damaged Items

If your order arrives faulty, defective, or damaged in transit, you may be eligible for a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

To be eligible:

  • You must contact us within 7 days of delivery

  • Provide your order number

  • Provide clear photos of the issue and packaging (if damaged)

We will assess the issue and advise the appropriate resolution.

Incorrect Items

If you receive an incorrect item due to an error on our part, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.

What Is Not Considered a Fault

The following are not considered defects and are not eligible for refunds:

  • Minor surface marks, layer lines, or texture variations typical of 3D printing

  • Slight colour differences from screen images

  • Damage caused by misuse, modification, incorrect installation, or use outside the intended purpose

 

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be:

  • Issued to the original payment method

  • Processed within 5–10 business days after approval

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

Return Shipping

If a return is required:

  • We will provide instructions before items are sent back

  • Returned items must be in original condition unless faulty

  • Return shipping costs may apply unless the item is faulty or incorrect

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
